7 websites with the perfect stock images for your pins (that aren’t over used)

Where can I find the perfect images for my pins?

If you’re a Pinner like me, which I assume you’re, then you’ve asked yourself this question before. Finding stock photos isn’t always as easy as it sounds.

You find that sometimes you can be quite particular about your photos. You may find that you don’t want to be using the same images as everyone else or that you also want to find images that represent your brand, especially if your brand is more feminine or unique.

So today I decided that I’m going to help you out by sharing with you a list compiling of my top 7 websites where you can find the perfect stock images that aren’t overused or popularised.

But before we dig in, I should let you know that these stock websites I’m about to list do not come completely free unlike websites like Unsplash or Pexels which I still use from time to time. This is because these websites are geared more towards paid memberships.

But before you run off because you heard the words “paid membership”, there are three reasons you should know why paid stock images are better for both your pins & business.

Paid VS Free

My first reason is because of what I mentioned earlier - overused images. I guarantee on Pinterest you’ll find a lot of pins that have the same images from multiple different Pinners & that’s because of using free popularised stock. That’s like turning up to an event & someone is wearing the same dress as you. Like No! That’s not cute. We can’t have that happening.

Second, the terms of free images aren’t always as straightforward (they do vary from site to site) as they seem which is why I urge anyone to always read the small print. Whereas with paid stock they’re very clear & straightforward from the get-go. Plus, they make sure their stock is ready for business use asap!

Lastly, quality. With free stock images, the quality is much lower than what you would get from paid stock images. So bear that in mind if you’re aiming for your pins to look the best.

The moment you’ve waited for…

Now that you understand the difference between paid & free stock images, hopefully, this list below shall help persuade you to invest in better stock images for your pins & make them slay-worthy!

Without further ado…

First up!

Ivory Mix

Ivory mix

This is one of the first stock websites I ever used when I first started my business & I still use to this day because I absolutely love their stock images!

They have a whole variety of images & they’re great for feminine brands. Plus they look perfect on pins!

The great thing about Ivory mix is their membership. The first membership offer is completely free & you get access to 550 stock image photos! Which is a bargain if you ask me.

But if you want to have access to 4500+ stock photos, with some bonuses like 100+ stock images a month, social quotes monthly & more, then there are options to pay for memberships annually or quarterly which are decently priced & you won’t regret investing.

But if you don’t want to sign up, they also have a shop where you can purchase bundles instead.

Haute Stock

Haute Stock

Another one of my long time favourites is, of course, Haute Stock. When I think of pretty & chic, this is the first place that comes to mind.

If you're looking for chic, bright, clean stock images this is the one! They’re the perfect fit for women entrepreneurs, bloggers or creatives & they really make your pins stand out in the crowd.

They have a monthly, annually & quarterly membership plan with over 4000+ images & hella bonuses including a mockup library, icons, brushes etc. So definitely do yourself a favour & seriously consider signing up because they have such beautiful stock images you don’t want to miss out on.

But if you don’t want to pay, they have a newsletter that shares 21 free stock photos a month so remember to sign up!

Style Stock Society

Style stock society is a new favourite of mine because the images for pins are to die for. I found for Pinterest pins they really give that high quality look that I love, plus the layouts are perfect for when you want to overlay your text & make your pin look less busy.

If you’re a woman entrepreneur, then this is the place to be! Especially if you have a feminine brand.

Memberships are quarterly, annually & lifetime. You get access to instant access to over 2500+ beautiful images plus some bonuses like Canva templates, Instagram graphics & more!

Even if you don’t sign up for a membership, you can always sign up for their FREE bundle which has 20 stock images & you’ll continue to get them each month. Which is something I recommend & have already myself signed up for.

Her Creative Studio

A stock image library everyone needs, whether you’re a creative, blogger, solopreneur or Woman entrepreneur. These images will make your pins pop!

I find with their stock images they have the perfect amount of negative white space that I love to use for pins! So if you want your text to be loud & clear without an image being too extra, then sis, this is the place!

Their images are 300 dpi which is the high quality we love to see, especially for pins & they have images ready for you in portrait, landscape & square.

As for the membership you have bi-annual & annual with access to over 2100+ stock images with of course extra bonuses like mockups, PSD smart object layers etc.

Trust me those mockups along with the stock images you’re going to need in life.

Kate Max Stock

A new stock image library I just found out about myself & let me tell you, I’m in love! If you're looking for feminine stock images, this is a great place to start for you bloggers & women entrepreneurs reading this.

From the office to flowers, you can pretty much find any kind of theme you’ve been wanting in your stock images right here. They too also have the right amount of negative white space in their images which is great for your pins & gives them a clean/fresh look.

Plus they have an incredible shop where you can buy bundles of their templates for a really good price!

Their memberships are monthly & quarterly with an unlimited amount of stock images that not even I know the exact number of, but I’m sure there is a lot!

Atelier21

Atelier21

This is a stock image website great for bosses, creatives & bloggers.

If you’re looking for cooler, natural tones & stock images that aren’t just aimed for feminine brands, then this is the place for you.

There is also a shop where you can buy stock bundles for a really good price if you don’t wish to sign up for a membership. But if you don’t want to buy any stock images, you can always sign up for their newsletter where you’ll get free stock images each month.

The cool thing about their memberships is they offer a membership for individual businesses as well as memberships for web designers, social media managers & brand designers, so they can use their stock images in client projects! Awesome right!? Memberships are both monthly & quarterly with access to over 3000 images!

Death To Stock

Death+to+Stock

If you're looking for images that are both Instagram & pin-worthy, then this is the place.

Death to Stock is very different in comparison to any of the other websites I’ve mentioned above because they have more of a cool, unique aesthetic that I think creatives especially will love to use either on Instagram or Pinterest.

Their stock images will give a different edge to your pins & almost bring a sort of an artistic, indie vibe.

Their memberships are monthly & annually with over 4500+ stock images. They also have different memberships for small businesses, designers, agencies & large organisations.

They also give out free stock images occasionally in their newsletters, so if you don’t want a membership, then that’s an option.

In conclusion

I think that all 7 of these wonderful websites deserve to be in every pin design. But of course, it is up to you to decide which one catches your eye. But they all are wallflower approved & whichever you choose is going to look slay worthy! Trust me on this one.

Don’t forget to Pin me!
